Opening times
- 9am - 5pm
- Seven days a week
- Closed Christmas Day
The sanctuary is open every day from 9am – 5pm, with last entry into the car park at 4:30pm.
The sanctuary is closed on Christmas Day including all outdoor areas (excluding public footpaths) and The Kitchen, Gift Shop and the Visitor Centre.
We are a working farm and many of our walkways are grass, so please dress appropriately and bring suitable footwear for the weather.

Dog-friendly
Dogs are welcome at the sanctuary but they must be kept on a lead at all times. Dogs are also welcome in The Kitchen restaurant but please keep them under your table and out of the walkway at all times.
Please dispose of any waste in the bins provided.
Accessibility
We have a limited number of wheelchairs and one mobility scooter available to pre-book. Please contact us if you’d like to pre-book a mobility aid for your visit.
The Donkey Sanctuary is a No Smoking (Including E-Cigarettes) venue, this includes all walkways and gardens.
